Patricia Pons és Doctora en Informàtica (Cum laude) per la UPV i actualment lidera el grup d'investigació en Interacció Persona Ordinador de l'Institut Tecnològic d'Informàtica de València, centrant-se en l'àmbit de les tecnologies inmersives (Realitat Mixta, Realitat Aumentada, Realitat Virtual), la computació afectiva, i la experiència de usuari.
Va rebre el premi Joves Investigadors Informàtics 2019 de la SCIE i BBVA per la seua tesi doctoral, que estudiava millorar el benestar d'humans i animals mitjançant la tecnologia. En 2016 va realitzar una estada d'investigació en la Universitat de Melbourne gràcies a una Endeavour Research Fellowship del Govern Australià, i ha participat en el Heidelberg Laureate Fòrum 2019, que reuneix investigadors prometedors amb Premis Turing en Informàtica.
Ha donat xarrades en esdeveniments com TEDx, Ignite o Google Women Techmakers, i participa activament en diverses iniciatives i associacions per a visibilitzar el paper de les dones en àrees STEM.

Ha impartido charlas en eventos como TEDx, Ignite y Google Women Techmakers, y participa activamente en diversas iniciativas y asociaciones para promover la presencia de las mujeres en los campos STEM.

Patricia Pons holds a PhD in Computer Science (Cum Laude) from the UPV and currently heads the Human-Computer Interaction research group at Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI), focusing on the field of immersive technologies (Mixed Reality, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality), affective computing and user experience.
In 2019, she received the Young Computer Science Researchers Award from the Spanish Computer Science Society and the BBVA Foundation for her doctoral thesis, which focused on improving the wellbeing of humans and animals through technology. In 2016, she was awarded an Endeavour Research Fellowship by the Australian Government to undertake a research placement at the University of Melbourne, and in 2019 she took part in the Heidelberg Laureate Forum, which brings together promising researchers from around the world with Turing Prize winners in computer science.
She has given talks at events such as TEDx, Ignite and Google Women Techmakers, and is actively involved in various initiatives and associations to promote the presence of women in STEM fields.
